I don't think many country artists would say that. It's always just been folksy music based on hardships of the current era. Like Johnny Cash or Hank Williams (sr). That may have been the starting point of the country genre, but that's definitely not what it is now, or has been for a while.

What makes country music "country"?

That's what they're there for, though.

Makes sense. I didn't know I had the flu until I got tested for it. TIL.

I know anecdotes don't mean much, but I took Tamiflu when I got the flu in 2017. It didn't help much. The next year I started getting the yearly flu shot. Got the flu again in 2023, but it only lasted a couple days with mild symptoms.

the potus should have never been given such absolute power when it comes to pardons. there should be a check on that power. it completely nullifies the justice system, no matter which president does it.

Any bets on when/if the admins get involved?

Until the day we reign-in the powers of pardoning with some sort of check, no POTUS will ever need a justification. Pardons are absolute, and only the Sith deal in absolutes.

They don't give a fuck about God, or anything the Bible really says. I was a Christian growing up but not anymore. Not because I don't believe in God, but because Christianity has been weaponized against the people Jesus would have protected and taken care of. "Have a heart like Jesus" they said.

Well, all things considered, it would be preferable to have your own government spy on you than one that's considered an adversarial government. No spying would be nice, but that's a pipe dream. I guess it depends on how you want to manipulated.

There's more to it than ByteDance being a Chinese company. China doesn't have user-data protection laws and ByteDance can be forced to turnover all the user data it's collected on everyone that uses the app.
