I think we can afford using the extra space compared to if that means our product is usable for more people.
Of course there's still a huge gap between embedding a whole web browser and using native stuff.

How's the accessibility on this? I mean, 1MB is cool and all, but I think we should stay aware of the tradeoffs that means. Binary size is not always the most important metric. Stuff like screen reader support etc. is the stuff you might miss out on not using platform UI toolkits.
