Your comments re the consequences of not voting are accurate, but not exhaustive.

Far too many potential voters choose not to vote for many reasons, such as believing their vote won't make a difference, that they don't understand what's being voted on or what the different candidate's positions on the issue are. Some just don't care or find voting burdensome. Many more excuses.

Many "people have been dumb voters" applies to many issues, and will sadly probably remain a problem. But reasons for not voting are far more numerous than believing that individual votes don't matter.

No, taxes don't require specific allocations of National Income to different segments of our population.

True, but that's not what I was asking about. You utterly failed to respond to the question I posed to Robert Reich!

Its wheels never move.

Not quite. Temu's car doesn't transition to a submarine! We don't even know if it also drives on land.

You can't ignore the grift and corruption. This is yet another favor for monetary gain by Trump insiders. Putin conceded nothing in the bogus negotiations to conclude Russia's illegal war against Ukraine. Why should his cronies be extended favors? What else does Trump expect to profit from?

Trump Admin has no integrity or veracity. They are willing to lie or distort the truth whenever it's politically convenient. I.e., I'm skeptical about everything they say.

OMG?

My educated guess is that Trump didn't like his hand-picked architect telling him that his proposed massive 90,000 sq ft ballroom was too big for the White House grounds. Trump obviously wants his grandiose ballroom completed before he leaves office, and believes his decision can't be questioned.

3/3 But the first step is to elect members of Congress who are willing to make reasonable changes to our tax system and to create good paying jobs for more people. Increasing the federal minimum wage would also be desirable. Unfortunately, over the last 4 1/2 decades Congress has done the opposite.

Are we facing excessive income inequality in this country? Most assuredly. But concocking BS calculations re same isn't useful. Convince Congress to increase the progressivity of our income tax system. Or restore estate taxes at lower levels to reduce inequitable passing of wealth to children.

I'm sorry, can you identify a law or regulation that requires specific allocations of National Income to different segments of our population? No? Then what specious theory provides that income distribution must remain immutably the same over time? Stumped? No doubt because it doesn't exist.

Unaddressed by the article is what will become of the Ivanpah site? It would appear to be a good location for a large photovoltaic facility with lithium ion battery backup as it already has plenty of high voltage transmission lines to the site.
