You definitely have a much more difficult time, shoot I’m only 2.5 hours from Seattle. Can’t compare. Sometimes I wish I lived that far from a city but 14-17 hours is wild. I’ll just keep my ferry breakdowns, cancellations and just slightly overpriced goods and services.

Totally understand. Buying furniture is so hard and even harder when you live somewhere very remote. I live on a little island in WA, doesn’t seem as remote as where you are by any means but I empathize with some of your shipping struggles.

That shipping is crazy. Not sure if it would be more cost effective but would finding a local woodworker and having a custom frame built be an option? Then you can get what you want plus at least those shipping costs could go towards the quality you’re hoping for.

So my family came to visit for the holidays and one of them showed up with a cold. I’ve been feeling a little under the weather and this post reminded me that last night I said I was going to test in the morning… it finally got me too. 😭 we made it so long.
