One more way to avoid blinding ppl while upgrading ur reflector to LED bulbs is to use a properly designed bulb that only 2 or 4 emitters. These are usually much more expensive as they require better diodes. They’re also directional, need to be seated at correct orientation.

There’s an alternative design of headlight called “projector” which use lensing instead of mirrors, to project the light in the correct spread. You can spot these because they have well a projector lens where the light shoots out. These work great with either bulbs! And won’t blind ppl

Many tiny emitters, arranged all around the bulb. They’re effectively like a dozen different bulbs with a dozen different angles or refraction insider the reflector. That means that the light gets sent off in angles it wasn’t supposed it. Hence why these are blinding.

Emitters, and each of those has their own angle of light. Reflector enclosures as their name suggests reflect light in the enclosure, bounce it around and generally try to send it out forward, creating the normal headlight light spread when used with incandescent bulbs.
