Worryingly I’ve just listened to two shows on LBC (I’m driving from Preston to London) with back to back defence of Barton in the name of “free speech”. The idea that free speech is a get out of jail free card for hate speech has become an acceptable reality. X has a lot to answer for !!!!

Damn right. I opened X the other day just for old times sake and it’s truly the place where hope, decency, and goodness are left at the door.

Jeez, this is real nostalgia. A great president with very little actual power making an inspirational statement that gives you a warm and fuzzy feeling on a public holiday (rather than asking you to pick up a pitchfork and kill an immigrant). I miss America.

It’s not easy to get vaccinated. Even for the eligible you have to fight through the impenetrable ranks of Doctors Receptionists to get a dose. I’m having mine tommorow at a chemist 30 miles away and I’m paying (even though I’m eligible). Good message but could do better.

There are elements of those books that are questionable (particularly the roll of women) but they’re of their time. People persuing a personal agenda will project their own ideology, no matter how innocuous. Just enjoy the book, it’s not a manifesto.

Let’s hope we can treat this as a reset. I have to say, I’m skeptical about Starmers future. He’s a good guy and it may just be bad luck, but it seems that everything he touches turns to shit. Lucy will most likely end up leading us into the election and I feel Ok about that.

Listen, I know this platform is kinder and friendlier than X (mercifully) and extends absolute respect to women, rejecting all hints at objectification (quite rightly) but I can’t believe no one has made a beaver joke…

I remember taking my young children to see that film when it came out. One of the best judged films I’ve ever seen, adults were devastated and kids just saw it as storytelling on celluloid, Great great film.

The chilling aspect of this is that on X commentators close to Trump are calling these protestors “Antifa Terrorists”. How long is it before we see this new definition used to pluck legitimate protestors off the street ?

Hmmmmm…. I’m not sure about this. No one should face physical threat because of their views and mocking the death of Charlie Kirk diminishes that principle. It’s hard to justify losing his job but he should do better for the people he serves.
