We pay more for healthcare as a society for poorer outcomes. If we want to spend less for better outcomes then we can look to societies which have done that. All have some form of universal healthcare.

I am genuinely curious. For the audience who reads this article (and similar ones) are the metrics generally understood and understandable? ICE metrics like mpg are generally understood. But I struggle with megawatts, megawatt hours, energy density etc? Curious if others are in same boat.

This is why democracy is under attack. A well functioning democracy could figure out how the exciting advances of technology could enhance all of society. Without democracy it is just a fight over a shrinking pie at both the top and bottom.
