Was born and raised there. Have to go there frequently. Makes me ill to see this stuff. Some people wanted to rename it Walter Gretzky Parkway. That man was a diamond not a stone like his son. I now referred to it as the Walter Gretzky Parkway when we are there

Brantford has one also, but we had his dad who was a diamond so I have now been referring to that road when in Brantford frequently as Walter Gretzky Parkway. Was some talk months ago about people wanting to get renamed, but I don’t think it will happen unfortunately

@flaxotx.bsky.social. Gretzky wasn’t a Farm boy. Was a city boy who wiped his nose with his sleeve and had dried snot all winter. Same school as my husband. Great disappointment to many of us born in Brantford.
