Those sort of not-PROW closures always seem to be on or about Christmas. I've always wondered if it's to avoid actually blocking it as nobody is about to check.

They used to float across the Atlantic in giant barrels before ships where invented. Or that's what it looks like anyway

Is there any other situation where you tell a victim of violence that it was their own fault, or is it just people riding bicycles? Motornormitivity in action.

No, but blaming victims of violence for not wearing the right clothes doesn't help and perpetuates the cycle.

You didn't need to add the victim blaming after the first part.

This is great, one of the problems with the government's proposals is using districts as the building blocks. You can't build anything good if the bricks are the wrong size.

It's much less popular in the USA. Hard comprehend coming from the UK where it's been the default for a decade.

Should we ban ScotRail trains from crossing into England because they have a big saltire on the side?

That much money could subsidise a decent bus service to Eyemouth for decades.

It should never have been built, on a less busy line maybe. But a double track section of the ECML, mad.

The proposals I have seen in the past connected up with Drayton Road but that was before Morland Gardens was built.

True, I think a new bridge for Abingdon to get traffic off the high street is more important that Didcot to Culham. But every new development pushes the options for that road further south and makes it less viable. I dream of a foot/cycle/bus only Abingdon Bridge.

I'm pretty positive about it, it's one of the few developable sites next to a station in Oxfordshire. And where the development is happening is will out of the flood zone. Just a shame it will be built by Persimmon or similar and will be completely car centric and ugly.

There is a large low density development planned on the west side of the railway tracks.
