Posting more of my art. This drawing might end up being the cover of a zine I'm thinking of making called "Same Weird America." Will I actually finish making the zine? Who knows, but I had fun drawing this!

The drawing itself is a parody of the cover art for "Tin Drum," the 1981 album from the English New Wave band Japan, which shows a photo of frontman David Sylvian eating a presumably East Asian meal from a bowl with chopsticks. The artist responsible for this drawing sincerely hopes that Walt Disney Studios will not send her a cease-and-desist order for depicting a creepy Steamboat Willie plush on the shelf in the top right corner. Same drawing as before, but without my signature and with the zine title, "Same Weird America," written in both Japanese katakana and English-language text. This will likely end up being the cover of the zine if I ever get around to making it.

A digital cartoon drawing of MalO (a skull-faced wolf-like creature from the SCP Foundation series of online creepypastas) playing a cuatro (small acoustic guitar) in full Mexican Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) dress while wearing a rose on her head. The artist herself is Mexican-American and felt that since it is tradition to paint your face like a skull while celebrating Dia de los Muertos, having the skull-faced MalO join in the celebrations felt appropriate in a humorous yet sincere way.
