I had the pleasure of photographing GATAFIERA for their upcoming album.🖤They aren't just making music, they're creating space. Through reggaeton and baile funk, they challenge colonial legacies, celebrate trans & queer Latinx identities & turn the dancefloor into a site of resistance & liberation.

I appreciate the trust that allows me to create multilayered visuals that complement an artist’s music. For AUNTY's release, I used photo & editing techniques to visualise the emotions in her music and embedded her star sign’s constellations, ensuring the imagery reflects her multifaceted artistry.

I would also add, our industry lacks diverse voices as is & is becoming increasingly a rich person's game, we need to honestly support & celebrate each other if we want true representation in art. Your community will push, support & catch you if you fall, but only if it is built on authenticity.
Also, begrudgery. Practice being happy for other artists success. If you’re flat out begrudging or hating, that’s how hard you’ll be on yourself when you try to create. A very playful, forgiving, self compassion is needed to overcome the fear of failure that stifles creativity

Embracing the cringe, in my life as well as my art, is something I keep working towards every day.
You’re not going to get your creative project off the ground if you’re afraid of being seen as cringe by friends and strangers. Cringe is unavoidable, just do the thing you want to do
