A viable leftist movement needs good people running for office yes, but it also needs to be embracing those who are putting the work in elsewhere, those who spread the message without self-enrichment, and people grounded in reality so they can actually convince their fellow citizens to sign up.

Aka, empowering counterproductive saboteurs, left to alt-right pipeline enablers, and lunatics who make money by convincing people to harm themselves. A viable leftist movement needs to drop these dead-end elements pronto, even if in the moment they look good to have for a campaign.

One of the more frustrating things with the Bernie die hard train was his 2020 campaign in general. It embraced some of the worst folks on 'the left' because they were making enough noise at the time to look relevant. It just ended upping the reach of bonkers cth types and Marianna Williamson.
