What a privilege to work at a university (UFAM), where we occasionally come across the wonders of the local fauna in Manaus (Amazon, Brasil). Here is a male of Pithecia pithecia eating fruit very close to our office.

The MOLRA (Map of Life Rapid Assessments) team, which our lab (LEGAL/UFAM) contributed to by collecting eDNA data, took second place in the Rainforest @XPrize competition out of 300 teams that entered. We are thrilled!
