He is improving with each skate! That spin with the blade trick used to look a bit awkward earlier in the season, but now it looks smooth and cool.

I just ask my students every year if they want to meet on Wednesday. This year, two classes said no, one said yes. I am dreaming of the time when everyone just has a week off (would gladly add one week of instruction in August or December instead!).

I spent most of the last week being sick (just a cold, nothing major), and I fully agree that washing some dishes can be an achievement!

Only if I’m addressing a close friend. If speaking to anyone else, ‘medical procedure’ means anything from teeth cleaning to ingrown toenail clipping, bc I’m not going to specify anything for people outside of my immediate circle.
