I actually worked with celebrities in the 1980s. I learned being a famous movie star, Pop icon like Andy Warhol, singer, athlete means really nothing. They are like us but only have more money and influence. Some are real sweet like Marlo Thomas. Others real aholes.

Also these scammers are impersonating real publicists. I’ve been getting a bunch at my website. One had a legit name of an Indie bookstore but the president of the book club was in fact the name of an author that store was hosting.

Kind of like those horrible Purge masks from that dystopian movies. I love old movies where ppl had flaws and all.

I actually had someone I meet online come up to me at a Cybil’s event and talk as if we were still in a conversation. Me, “Uh, do I know you?” #kidlitchat
