So can companies and organisations who claim to be green, ethical, authentic, bold, inclusive, etc etc stop using chatGPT now?

Every time I open LinkedIn (sigh) I want to launch my phone into the sea!!

ChatGPT rots your brain. Not only does it steal, lie, discriminate (learned bias), and misinform… it does that to you in real time as you use it. Creative, logical, and processing faculties weaken with use. These should be on the “side effects” label on the tin.

…and ability to make connections go down the drain. Just a short amount of time in to using it and I had (albeit temporarily) lost some abilities I took pride in.

There must be more sensible ways to consume media, to stay on top of what’s happening in the world, to do your bit, and still feel connected. I was always of the opinion that social media connects us but increasingly feel it’s driving us apart. It quite literally thrives on sensationalism & division

Listening to @blindboyboatclub.bsky.social (including last night in Bexhill!) talk about the absolute fuckery of our social feeds made something click. How are we supposed to compute the horrors, joys, sincerity, misinformation, memes, and AI content all in the space of a 10-second scroll?

Maybe I’ll be here a bit more for some more sensible social media consumption and not BLA-BLA-WEW-WEW-BUY-CLICK-FLASH-NOW-NOW like TikTok and IG.
