Tolkien found called The Red Book of Westmarch which included the personal journals of the key characters.
In universe they're written in Westron and various elvish languages (usually Sindarin and occasionally Quenya)

As far as I recollect the days of the week don't actually have names. They'll say like, "On the 19th day of November." And the months have their own names.
Though they could have our weekday names in the books because the Lord of the Rings and the other books are meant to be translations of a book

It is so dope. All months have 30 days and there are 5 holidays that are their own things. Like Yule doesn't fall on a day of the week. It is Yule.
