Occam’s Razor being what it is, what she really meant in all likelihood was “I really did vote for mass deportations but I didn’t think that would impact my friends,” which of course sounds awful which is why she doesn’t come clean. This is a vanilla leopards incident.

This is an embarrassment. If you’re going to blame “the information environment” then you need to be extremely specific about how these people were somehow entirely unaware of what he said repeatedly. Otherwise you’re just handwaving.
