At around 21:00 LT some flights managed to land or takeoff from the airport. Just before 22:00 LT however a zero rate was implemented again.

According to Airways Magazine, Icelandair will retire its iconic Boeing 757 TF-FIU ‘Hekla Aurora’ on 12 October 2025. She will be missed for sure as it is one of the prettiest Boeing 757s still flying around, especially after the recent retirement of its sistership ‘Vatnajökull’ 🇮🇸✈️
