I pay full freight, and gladly. It's more than worth it. I also bought a sweatshirt last week. Looking forward to it.

Do you have a sense of what might be bringing this on?

My understanding of the matrix math underlying them, informed by @disesdi.bsky.social's writings, is that truly guardrailing an LLM is essentially impossible.

Your article ends: However, a Yale study from October claims that there's little evidence of jobs being lost due to AI so far, at least in the US. Researchers said they had looked at the labor market since ChatGPT's release and did not see "discernible disruption."

Funny, that.

It's the #2 story on CNN's website, for whatever that is worth. I've seen it mentioned other places as well. It's quite an insane story. But yes, the shooting of the two National Guardsmen is DC is getting more attention in the U.S. right now.

The dad joke thing is right there in your profile, so we can't say we haven't been warned.

Wait, what!?

I love that they're still making this claim all these years later. It has a very 1970s absurdist comedy film feel to it.

That number will go up for sure.

There is at least one network that has always been difficult to pick up over the air where I live. But yes, it is a great option if what you want is what is being broadcast to your market at that time.

I like turkey. I eat it almost every week, usually on a sandwich. I accept that I may be in the minority, but I can't think of any reason why I'd care.

I wish the @nytimes.com still had an ombudsman. When they eliminated the position, they claimed direct feedback would replace it. Then they proceeded to completely ignore any and all direct feedback, never so much as acknowledging a word of it. I want them to declare what they were thinking here.

On that second point: Can confirm.
November 16, 2025 at 12:11 PM
I mean, if moving forward with a new idea is a nonstarter, your approach is as good as any I've seen proposed. Either that or just pretend the previous movies never happened. It's really not that out of the ordinary.

The "...and Found Something Real" part of that headline is an affront to sanity.

This is how adults handle things. Admit it, own it, show some contrition. Thank you for responding with character.

It's only a matter of time before there is some sort of process for asserting and confirming that a given written work was actually composed from scratch by its stated author, with zero LLM involvement.
November 9, 2025 at 11:07 PM
I'm not a professional writer. However, I do a lot of writing in my work, and I have had people express surprise that I never use an LLM for any of it. I will point out that none of the people who expressed that surprise were especially sharp.

Who was it, and why wouldn't they want their name associated with the comment?
November 8, 2025 at 1:11 AM
It would appear this is a core facet of their business model.

Also with respect, it's only off-base once the team additions you mention are made. The recent track record is good, but it's not at all unfair for people to be concerned about the firing of a political reporter, particularly given the context as we know it, and to wait for evidence of good intent.
