Talking of perfect squares, how did I not know this before this year?

The Open Category in Swimming Isn't
A screen shot of text which says: The new Swim England rules regarding the categories of competition come into effect in 23 days time on Friday 1 September. The category rules are: Female – athletes with a birth sex of female Open – athletes with a birth sex of male, trans or non-binary competitors and any competitor not eligible for the female category The way I interpreted the open category as an English reader was "born male or trans or non-binary plus anyone else not female." Which in logic becomes (((Born-male or trans) or non-binary) or not-female) which meant that anyone could enter including trans males. but from recent information I received regarding the South East Region Masters Short Course Championships I find that the open category is being interpreted as follow ((Born-male or trans) or non-binary) and not-female. This means that AFAB people cannot enter the open category. This means that trans men cannot enter the open category. It's not an open category then is it?
