-positive serum adenovirus PCR with clinical and laboratory findings of hepatitis favors a probable diagnosis of adenoviral hepatitis.
-Definitive diagnosis requires a liver biopsy demonstrating viral inclusions.

Red ink in tattoos can cause reactions, including non-infectious granulomatous reactions. Also in above article, there are reports of leprosy, TB, and syphilis being inoculated via tattoos as well!

Treatment includes 2 agents for 4 months based on susceptibility (FQ, clarithro/azithro, doxy, linezolid, tmp/smx) for M fortuitum group

M fortuitum and M abscessus has also been associated with LE folliculitis post pedicures
