But being SR its then totally broken by an incredibly cheap item called Drams that you can consume to lower the damage you have to resist to 0, for like, 100 nuyen 🤷

And you can freely choose what level to cast a spell at, you just have to ENDURE spell casting.

So you can be one box away from death and choose to cast a Force 12 Lightning ball and deliver this killer line

Do you know what I really love about Shadowrun? Spellcasting inherently drives narrative.

In other games you expend a resource (like spell slots) to cast spells. Or magic is an abstract skill with no resource to spend.

But in SR you deal damage to yourself equal to the spell level.

Nobody loves to hate Shadowrun more than Shadowrun fans.
