You can have your own beliefs, despite what they tell you. As hard as it is right now, stay strong and fight through it. One day you’ll be old enough to get out and live life how you want it. Be who you want and love who you want. You’ll find a new family if your blood one doesn’t support you.

My heart goes out to all the youth being raised by hateful parents who feed them their bigoted beliefs.

Your generation is strong, and you have each other. As hard as it is to realize this, your parents are just people. Their word isn’t a sacred fact, and neither is the Bible. 3/5

Without them, it would have taken me years more to realize my own queer identity. The internalized bigotry my dad raised me with is a big reason why it took me 24 years to realize I’m trans.
