I am a left- leaning academic with a background in international politics who's trying to make sense of what looks like a fundamental shift in the world order.
Happy birthday to him/ her! Time flies but unfortunately it's so difficult to enjoy the moments when they're small. One is too busy and tired all the time...

Not too mention that I can't for my life understand why anyone would think that the 'wisdom' of this man is anything anyone would want to listen to.

I love the fact that someone did that. And an apt description this

BTW, the AI generated bit is only a touch up of the background. Not the actual tree

It serves them right! I hope before too long what was released will become available unrelated. But I'd expect them to learn from it if they release other stuff. I guess, if they don't it'll be a new low in incompetence

Very good to hear that! May this be just the beginning

It looks really interesting indeed! I haven't yet read it all but the stuff at the beginning made me wonder if we're now reaching the point of 'no return'- the US' inability to contain China no matter what they do. And if so, what will the repercussions of this be?

Unfortunately I doubt people like him are in Politics for this...

Fundamentally, the problem is that as Prem says, there is no incentive withing the system to change the basic principles of operation. Logically, this would suggest that if we want change, we need to change the system itself

We've been waiting for this to happen for over 40 years. I'd say that's long enough. If it was going to happen, it would have by now. Instead, the exact opposite is actually taking place

And a follow back 😀

Never ceases to amaze me how blatantly unfair everything has become. We need to stop accepting this. Or our lives will become unbearable

It seems to me that it's providing more options. A bit how preventing monopoly is good.
