I'm in a similar mindset, and while I do have a little more leeway for game engines, one of the aspects is learning the deeper systems . Im too exhausted after work most of the time.

Personally, my change one be one issue, one vote. No more tacking on caveats, no more loopholes for unrelated garbage. There's no nicknames bills anymore because they'll be short and simple. No more, "I want to get funding for clean energy but I need to approve a war budget addon"
