Absolutely. Regardless of whether a person is directly affected by them or not, it absolutely shows how needlessly callous and cruel they are willing to be in order to achieve their goals. How anyone could even still go along with it is incredible, and yet many do.

There are hundreds of times more people online debating these rules than who it affects. Less than 20 amateur trans players, who play for fun, who wouldn't be playing if the team didn't accept them. Yet the FA, who banned women's football for 50 years over mens feelings, are “protecting women”.

The notion of “biological sex” is well up for debate, but will probably come down to AGAB, which.. isn't at all biological. Much clarity has been brought....

So then logically, the trans community can simply stop “identifying” as trans, and therefore get all the rights back. I don't think the EHRC have thought that one through.

This is sadly the inevitable result of demonising trans people. People who do not present as clearly stereotypically masculine or feminine will be harassed until they conform. For the people who sowed the seeds of division, it's a feature, not a bug.

The damage was done by the Tories, but the damage was wilfully kept by Labour. They might not have done the work, but they are complicit in not repairing it.

It's always bizarre when people try to say bike lanes work in Europe because it's smaller. As though people in Europe are cycling from border to border every day? 50% of car journeys are less than 5 miles, that's easy biking territory. The size of the country is wholly irrelevant.

Gender also isn't chosen, and people discriminate for that. If it was chosen then I doubt trans people would exist.

Even though it's a social construct, it doesn't mean it's not real. Money is a social construct, but it's also real. Anyone is free to ignore the fact that it exists, but you can't ignore it because everyone else also thinks it's real.
