I started a similar discussion over on Threads. We have GOT to start doing more than just blocking. It's beyond time for us to be on the front lines putting these people on blast. They post hateful shit because we let them get away with it. It's time to be mean to them.

I'm angry about how much they feel they have to keep quiet so they don't invite more hatred. And I'm sick over how much they're expected to just suck it up. Put the bullies and trolls on blast. I want screenshots of comments. I want names. I want call-outs. I want all of us to know who to report and block and shun at conventions. THIS is what we should be gatekeeping.

Somehow I remembered to post my WIP on IG but not anywhere else 🤣

The side and back panels are laced, and the remaining grommets are on the bottom hem. Focusing on lacing those, then shifting to the collar that I've been putting off 😅

I'm Elyse, cosplayer of 14 years, travel guide editor for almost as long, and proud parent of both a fat cat and giant skeletons.

Itsnotelsie as Devil Trigger Dante from Devil May Cry 5. Foam was used to create the horns, spikes, and scales, a mesh shirt was painted to look like his torso, and body paint was used to connect everything on the fave, neck, and shoulders Itsnotelsie as an imagined Devil Trigger Vergil from Devil May Cry 5. The jacket and vest were purchased and updated to make the trim and embroidery look 3D. The helmet was made of foam and clear worbla and lit with fairy lights kidden in the horns. Itsnotelsie as Julia Hart of AEW, based on artwork by Mel Coleman. Her signature hat with stained glass windows is backlit in red, her face is painted like a skeleton, and she's wearing a skeleton body suit and gloves with silver finger cones on one hand. Itsnotelsie as The Twins from Dead by Daylight. A body suit was painted to kind of match her skin tone, a wound and baby prop sewn and glued to her chest to resemble Victor sticking out of her body. One of the few shoots done outside as opposed to her indoor studio.

Making good progress on the lacing for V's jacket. Tonight's task is cutting and hemming the back seam so I can add lacing tomorrow.

Did a Hell's Paradise-inspired photoshoot over the weekend, so here's the first edit! Flowers, makeup, and lenses were already owned; nails by Cuticle Chronicles in Ithaca, NY. I'm obsessed with them.

Having the dark undereye circle gene kind of stinks...until you need to make dark circles for cosplay, when one dab of purple shadow is all you need 😅

(I'm already dreading redoing half of this in three weeks to finish my Hell's Paradise cosplay, but at least it'll look awesome.)

I commented earlier about the lack of color and whimsy in the world, so I'm pausing work on my V jacket to throw some Hell's Paradise body horror stuff together for a shoot early next month. This is going to be ridiculous and I'm beyond excited 😂

I'm always in awe of what my friends are able to create, especially for D&D. This was a privilege to cosplay.
