Extreme cold? Not at all, and as far as the heat goes, nope to that, at least the desert-y kind. They'd do better in a high humidity environment.

Also the wiki is mostly up to date, but I will be releasing another large synx-sheet later that explains the anatomy fully, as well as other things that will make the wiki unnecessary.

Anthro can be whatever, but technically speaking they are neither in their natural state. They look plantigrade, but they don't really walk. They can, but it would be as strenuous/unnatural feeling for them as you walking on your hands. They mostly slither, and sometimes writhe about like octopus.

Yup they're an open species. Of course people usually anthropomorphize them a bit in order to make OCs, but that's fine to. Those just end up being classified as 'non-canon'.

Their head is entirely the mouth, that's why you can see the eyes through it when open. The only thick part is the tongue, and when that is out or in the bottom (pouch), the rest is basically hollow. Think a giant sock puppet made of meat.
