Today is Transgender Day of Remembrance. Each year, the trans community loses too many lives, especially trans women of color, to hate and violence.

You know "Dr. Rick"? That annoying guy on the Progressive commercials who's always interrupting people and chastising them for acting like their parents?
You know what's ironic?
Turns out, that's the exact same shit "Dr. Rick's" parents used to do.

I just recently finished writing the first draft of a new novel and am taking some time off to clear my brain before diving back in to edit and proofread.
