In my ex's toast at his wedding, he told a story about being happy to clean up cat shit for her. I think I may have been the only person who understood it, but I definitely did. (we have kids together, for anyone wondering why I was invited)

It makes people engage if they don't know why a spoon. A lot of catchy songs have one lyric that doesn't quite make sense or fit, and my theory is that moment is forcing your brain to pay more attention to it.

People don't understand how things work well enough to make an informed opinion. Like so much of the anti-vax rhetoric falls apart if you know how the immune system works. We need to address the underlying ignorance.

There is a societal problem when people as a whole can't see through this kind of narcissism. We're taught not to hold charismatic men accountable and to bend over backwards to give them the benefit of the doubt. One reporter shouldn't have been able to "prop him up", we all should know better.
