I’d love to see leaders focus on basic universal human rights. And changing that narrative. It’s become too easy to dehumanize certain groups. If we can start to see each other as humans first, it becomes hard to hate up close. Only then can some healing start to take place.

I’d say my biggest concern is my immediate local interactions. Can I continue to work, can I continue to go to the store, can I exist day-to-day, is the rhetoric from national voices going to influence people near me to spread hate and discontent. Although a correct passport would be nice… 1/

I’ve found that the first step with any “political” conversation is to establish the common beliefs first. Only then can we start the conversation of application of those beliefs into policy.

It makes no sense to discuss policy with a foundation of agreement on beliefs.

Political discourse in the United States will continue to decline until individuals are willing to sit in discomfort and start to lay a framework of commonality.

Without this there will be no progress. And I only know one side that is willing to discuss what should be fundamental beliefs.

Then claim they cannot carry on a conversation regarding policies on the basis of it being uncomfortable to discuss. It feels like an unwillingness to question their own beliefs.

When asked to establish a basic level of truths for our conversation the defenses go up and any progress is done.

Thank you for all the work you do, and to make this big of an impact in Montana, amazing!

Once people get to know us it’s hard to hate us up close to the person. Always pushing back against this anonymous “trans people” is exhausting.

Keep showing up and showing them we are just normal people. ❤️

That’s what I saw too; however, I’ve seen reports of people getting passports back that submitted them after me. Kinda getting a bit anxious as the weeks tick by…

As a teen in the 90’s as well the statement of not even knowing the question hit so close to home. As I found the answer in 2020/2021 all the moments from my youth took on clarity.

Thank you so much for being a voice for us and so glad we have you in Minnesota! 🫶
