Growing up I was told nobody on the internet was who they say they are so I can not relate to ppl still getting catfished. To catch a predator was the Catfish predecessor and the consequences presented were strangers from the internet will kill or kidnap you. Ya'll be safe though
Millennials didnt grow up w/ a societal embracing of the internet. There were LOTS of guardrails in the form of:
- computer classes teaching what REAL sources were (.org, .net, .com differences, what BLOGS were and how they werent news)
- safety classes about predators & the internet being FOREVER
