It does always make me wonder how the police expect the chase to end. A crash of some kind has to be so probable. We need a different solution.

I saw the policy on KSTP - they are allowed to pursue if the perpetrator already committed dangerous activity or are clearly going to. This person crashed a car on Lake & then stole a woman’s car at gunpoint. I’m acab, but I see this was harder. Just can’t justify people’s lives though.

You can also calm traffic by prioritizing bus & bike lanes and safe sidewalks & cross walks for pedestrians. Allowing two lanes of car traffic in one direction on a 30/35 mph street invites people to drive much faster than those limits
