Long leashes are helpful during training too, so you can follow “ask, tell, make” steps… allowing her some freedom while still keeping control. This book is great if you’re looking to get into training. You can pick the parts you want to do and skip whatever else

The shedding would deter me from allowing it too! Sounds like she could benefit from some basic obedience training. It’s super helpful to start with treats and a clicker. Reward her for simply looking at you when you call her name to start, then advance to full recall.

But if it’s just a sweet dog, then there isn’t any big risk or harm… other than potential damage to your furniture, bedding getting hairy/dirty faster, etc. I personally don’t let mine on any furniture only because of ticks, so she’s got lots of her own comfy beds

The pack leader thing depends a lot on the dog’s personality and your relationship. If the dog tries to assert dominance or shows resource-guarding behaviors, it’s generally not ideal to have them up on any furniture unless you know how to correct the undesirable behaviors or potential aggression.

So, why though? Is he also in the files? Is he protecting Trump to keep his job? Just generally unbothered by sex trafficking and abusing children? Thought if he kept trying to sweep it under the rug people would forget about it? Why stick your neck out for someone else over something so vile?

I’m sorry if I offended you with a well-intentioned joke? This time of year is tough for many of us. Personally, I find it less discouraging and gloomy to reframe for the positive—for when the darkness will begin to lift. But point taken, that’s not everyone’s jam. No harm intended
