I’m heading home tonight! Japan has been fun but underestimated how much walking I will be doing. Can’t wait to give my cats all the hugs and kisses when I get home. I hope to visit again soon.

I went to the Nintendo Switch 2 Experience yesterday. It was a lot of fun! We were there for like three hours. My husband and I manage to try 7 games and observe two of them. Some of the games were Mario Kart, Donkey Kong, and Welcome Tour. ☺️

Today I went out to brunch with a friend. :3 it was nice and we got a chance to catch up.

Finished making my blueberry lemon cookie. Gotta work out my recipe a bit but it came out pretty good! I think I need to add more lemon flavor or something. IDK, I never had a lemon blueberry loaf before so maybe I did have the right lemon to blueberry ratio. 😅

Work has been a hectic so I’m a little behind on posting 😅

Day 10: Peppermint Mocha
It was pretty cool! I felt like there was the right balance of chocolate, mint, and coffee.

Day 10: Hazelnut Gianduja
This one surprised me because it was pure chocolate with hazelnut. Was really tasty!

I forgot to update yesterday. I got really tired from doing a 15 mile bike ride. 😅

Day 8: Raspberry Pistachio
Can definitely taste the raspberry. The pistachio wasn’t as pronounced but I can still taste it.

Day 9: Hazelnut Rocher
Reminds me of a Ferrero Roche but not as sweet and w/o the wafer.

Day 7: Fig and Wine

Very flavorful! Expected a Fig Newton for some reason but it’s much better.

Day 6: Garam Masala Pistachio

I didn’t really taste the pistachio as much but I tasted something savory. I think it was cumin? It was definitely different but I liked it!

Day 5: Banana Walnut

Can taste the banana and walnut. The flavor is a little more subtle than expected. I was thinking the banana flavor would be like the Runts candy. 😅

Day 4: Pumpkin Spice Latte

I definitely tasted the spice but don’t recall pumpkin or the coffee. Then again I did have it with a black coffee.

Day 3: Coquito

I never had coquito the drink, so I don’t know how close the flavor in chocolate is to the drink but it was really tasty!

For day 2 I had Cafe Latte.

My advent calendar from #Cacao&Cardamom came in yesterday! 😊

I’m so excited! I had the first piece today and it is called Hot Cocoa. ☕️🍫

OMFG it worked! 🥳

I adapted the chocolate ermine frosting recipe from @kingarthurbaking.bsky.social. Instead of using chocolate and espresso powder, I put 3/4 ube halaya and I came out great! 😊

Now I just have to frost the little cakes.

I saw them while I was at PAX 2024 and missed out on getting a bag then. I bought one bag of each roast to try out. ☺️

Came back from my doctor’s appointment and found to my order from @kingarthurbaking.bsky.social arrived earlier than expected! 😊 Gonna read this book and see what I’m going to bake this weekend.
