An interesting article and definitely something we should be looking to improve upon if we're trying to get more young people interested in Chemistry and continue it past the degree level. We have an amazing chemistry community in the UK and we should be trying to make it more inclusive.
23% of first-generation students said they felt like impostors, compared to just 2% of non-first-generation students. They were less likely to be invited to summer lab placements and less likely to report having family support.

It seems the house nitrogen supply decided to turn vacuum and flood my Schlenk line with oil from the bubbler. I've had better Friday afternoons.
