I'm constantly in awe of what voice actors are able to accomplish- both as a player and in my professional life.

Why anyone would want to cut them out of the dev process is utterly beyond me.

AI cannot ever replace what human VAs are capable of, and it's not even close.

Cazador’s command pulsed, a sickly headache in Astarion’s skull that would never ease. It frayed his temper, lengthening his strides as he sought a hunting ground away from his siblings. Former ‘acquaintances’ from his mortal life might still linger in places like the Elfsong. Elves lived long lives, after all. He would return to those places in good time. Find me someone beautiful. His master’s command again, reducing him to an unholy errand boy. It chafed at his pride, but this was what he’d apparently agreed to. Immortality, in exchange for retrieving souls to be sacrificed on the voracious altar of Cazador’s hunger. Astarion shared the same hunger but could never indulge it. One of Cazador’s many rules. Thou shall not drink the blood of thinking creatures. Gods, he hated that voice.
