It’s so regional. I know there are some places where there is a solid minority still masking. Despite being pretty leftie, Massachusetts had few maskers by 2021, and I could go for weeks without seeing anyone in a mask.

I’m a librarian, and I run into this at work all the time when people come in for tech help. All ages have a mindset that they can/should only do things they already know how to do. They get so stuck because they aren’t able to explore new things.

And yet, they want us to be professionals. They need us to have credentials — teachers, social workers, nurses, librarians — that take years and $$ to earn, but don’t think that should translate to comfortable wages.
