Thoughts: A beautiful and soulful album. A very impactful and honest debut. Both punchy and dance-y but also heartbreaking.

this book had an insane plot twist in the last 10 pages that had my jaw dropped for like 5 minutes

Thoughts: A wild but awesome album. Psychedelic and dynamic, punchy and beautiful (a druggo’s dream and reflective of the writing and recoding process). I’ll never understand the people who said this album was bad.

Thoughts: A true, fun throwback album of old singles, b-sides, cut songs, alternative mixes and one-offs.

A7X - The Stage
Rating: 8.7/10
Favourite song: Sunny Disposition / Higher
Thoughts: We’re back to the weird and wonderful. A more experimental and free album. Much more diverse musically. I like this album, it’s fun.

A7X - Hail To The King
Rating: 9/10
Favourite song: Coming Home / Doing Time
Thoughts: A much more “traditional” album but perhaps one of their most melodic albums yet. Every song ~sings~ musically and is great to enjoy. Controversially, I enjoy Arin’s drumming, it perfectly fits the album.

A7X - Nightmare
Rating: 10/10
Favourite song: Welcome To The Family / So Far Away
Thoughts: Grief perfectly encapsulated in 66 minutes. A truly powerful album remembering an amazing musician. A much more mature-sounding album, which is understandable given the circumstances.

Rating: 10/10
Favourite song: Almost Easy / ALPOH / Gunslinger
Thoughts: A more experimental album, musical freedom and you can really feel the colours of every member. The Rev shines in this album. Perhaps my favourite album of theirs.

A7X - City of Evil
Rating: 9.7/10
Favourite song: Seize The Day / Burn It Down
Thoughts: A more technical, dynamic and musical album. The Rev’s drumming is amazing in these songs, especially Bat Country. The album that got me into this band. M.I.A is a strong close to the album

A7X - Waking The Fallen
Rating: 9.4/10
Favourite song: Chapter Four / Second Heartbeat
Thoughts: A great album. The repetitiveness I found with the first album is gone, despite this album being longer. Not a single bad song. Punchy,melodic and experimental. A strong release 💚

A7X - Sounding The Seventh Trumpet
Rating: 8.7 / 10
Favourite song: Lips of Deceit
Thoughts: A strong debut album from an iconic band. You can see why they blew up by the time City of Evil came out. All of the songs are great, I just think some are a bit repetitive and too long as a result.

Aurora - The Gods We Can Touch

Favourite song: The Innocent
Thoughts: I love Aurora. This a beautiful and heartbreaking album. There are a few more upbeat tracks but the album as a whole plucks at the heartstrings.

Thoughts: A beautiful album that sounds like magic. Aurora showcases an admirable amount of emotion in her music that is a joy to listen to and that touches the heart.
