The 5 Homegrown player in a matchday squad J1 has is by far the nastiest rule of any league.
English premier league only requires 5 out of your 25 players which summarises how unforgiving it is. So you end up doing this to get around it

Broke the J2 attendance record, unfortunately 90% of the stadium was away fans. Felt like playing as Wigan in real life

Apparently it’s a common thing in real life that J2 and J3 clubs will scour the Brazilian amateur leagues and basically lottery and hope they get the next R9 Ronaldo. Atleast I’ve unintentionally done it also.
