I think he somehow sees some of himself in Mamdani and sort of wonder if he now sees Mamdani as a victim of "fake news media" like himself to some regard. But also Trump is surrounded by sychophants who kiss his ass all day. Maybe he likes something about the honesty? Or the attention? Who knows.

Teaching by sight words rather than phonics was one of the most absurd educational decisions made. I was a Hooked on Phonics kid and now work with kids outside a school setting and watching them "guess" words because that is how they were taught rather than sounding them out is excruciating.

It's interesting that he straight up would copy/paste emails to some of them, almost like he was playing each of them in different ways, making them think he was "close" to all of them.

The hard part for me is, when people are part of a cult, they need exposure to the outside world and chances to begin deprogramming. It'd depend on confrontation levels, combativeness, underlying relationship dynamics, etc. for me but understand why others might say fuck it.

It moves slower, IMO. X is good for fast news but super toxic. I haven't spent a lot of time over here but probably should.
