Am late, but Baten Kaitos, was my first 'traditional' (albeit nontraditional) JRPG since I was a Nintendo family growing up. The story captured me and I was so emotionally invested all the way through. Though coming back as an adult to properly engage with the battle system, it still is amazing.

When I was getting my own consult set up back in early 2023, I remember that first, "Oh we can't see you until the end of the year" and that hit like a ton of bricks. I see folks now getting their consults set up and see that they can't get in years later and I grieve everytime.
