Oh! Saw in ttrpg page and assumed. In video games I think it generally has to be more structured. Romantizing chara means alt plots and alt code, which would push release dates. Also more driven by specific genre. If you wanna date Lady D thats fair, but its not gonna make sense for the world.

I think, as a player, it should depend more on the dmpc and their written character. Would the dmpc be interested? I wouldn't compromise a plot or established chara trait (like if aro) but if the flirt is strong and the chara would work with the dmpc then its incredibly fun to romance.
