My TAs: How do you lecture like that for so long? You never get quieter over time

Me: My throat is so sore right now y’all

(Context: gave a one hour orientation lecture after teaching a three hour lab. Proceeded to do another half hour of lecturing after this interaction)

Today my lab was (a miserable) 73F 🫠

This seems to happen every summer. The current lab record is 85F.

It’s not like we need the temperature regulated in the lab or anything

What I wanted to read: International crime thriller with heavy forensics because one of the protagonists is a pathologist.

What I read: American police procedural set overseas that breasted boobily into an enemies-to-lovers romance and railed against (at the time) cutting edge science.

Some semester I’ll remember to tell my students to hydrate before coming to do the blood typing lab. But that semester is not this spring.

My institution is changing LMSs and I’ve discovered a new question type (click a spot in a picture!) that’d be useful from a teaching standpoint…

And probably diabolical from the PoV of a student.
