by virtue of being a book and knowing many books, i felt like Lyric would have to be somewhat familiar with booktok (or at least the stuff that's popular on there)

i personally do not fw that but i felt like it would be hilarious to make him lean into that cringey, thirst-trappey persona a little

i also made a lot of allusions to the story that you would write with him before unlocking his lover route: it doesn't always have to be the same, but the one i succeeded with was a raunchy cowboy-detective-samurai plot, so i felt like i had to pay homage to it lol

"Holy fuck. This man was not real."

me: indeed! he is not real!

"It was impressive to be so dedicated to a fictional character that you'd fantasize about an appendage you'd never see canonically."

me: oh... the irony... my favorite humor lies in hypocrisy...
