The Liberal supporters in these comments (some of whom are posing as NDP supporters!) are blocking anyone who questions them when they say "no one wants an election". For instance, this one blocked me when I asked about Carney's compete about-face on climate, compared to a few months ago

Even if the current generation of money-like substitutes, such as cryptocurrencies and stablecoins, are not the answer, they are throwing down the gauntlet to the existing payment systems, which now need to evolve to meet the demands of fully reliable, real-time, distributed transactions. Public authorities need to create the right environment to support such private dynamism. Money and payments could be organised to exploit the greater efficiency and resilience made possible by smart contracts. The system could be adapted, according to personal preferences and societal norms, either to increase privacy surrounding financial transactions or alternatively to realise greater opportunities from pooling personal data. New electronic forms of money will need to define the boundary between anonymity and customer-sanctioned access to private information in order to provide improved services.

One of the more overlooked responses in that interview, in my opinion, was Carney's lament that he doesn't get much privacy anymore, as if he isn't also pushing for possibly the largest expansion of Canada's surveillance state ever, in Bill C-2 (and now C-12)
