hes been with us through some of the hardest years of our lives and never gave up on us either
we know his time is coming soon but until then were going to keep giving him the best days of his life
love you forever chuck 💙

we've been prepared to put him down since 2020, and yet it's still harder than ever to make that final decision
i wish our pets could talk to reassure us that the time is right

hes at least 16 years old, his body cant process medications and his anxiety & heart issues stop us from subjecting him to further tests and stressful vet trips

by the end, our trainer effectively gave up on him. told us we likely would need to just live with an aggressive dog or put him down
there was no way we could just love it out of him

he would snarl, bark, and bite us if we got too close
he was scared and untrusting of us (especially "men") while still being protective of his mom, his space, and his food

no one else wanted to him so he was very close to being put down before we came along
we drove all the way down to oregon to pick him up and it was love at first sight (even if unrequited)
