What I realize any suburban city that has a mostly Black population will have major areas of disinvestment. I think that will always be the case. Most projects don’t make it because investors fill its too risky. Investors follow the money, anything else will be a gamble for them,

My ex friend would tell me how his family never used salt or any seasonings and would put ketchup on random foods as a kid. I was genuinely shocked and a little disgusted lol. However, that family never dies. Like never. They’ve lasted through other bad habits. like 97 and no cognitive decline.

I don’t have the intellectual rigor to keep going through sickness or grief. I need a literal break from reality to keep my sanity. Idk how people go to school, keep their jobs and raise families. I’d have to quit 2 out of 3. I’ve never been good at multitasking. My brain takes a vacation.

What’s the equivalent for women to socially mobilize the way men can in sports? It doesn’t exist.
My point is women don’t generally gain financial success this often and if it were that way, I think community would be richer. Men usually take their wealth out of community and never look back. They “might” support the immediate family, but that’s it.

I’ve seen every ethnicity be inconsolable and ignore red flags or beg their partner to stay. I wished they show Black producers interact because you’d think they make them suffer the whole season. And I’ve seen every type make a fool of their partner. The success rate for Black women is so low tho.

I almost wanted to say something about the mafs19 woman Brittany but I had to pull back because it’s not a Black thing but they never give Black women community and single is out so much that you’d think they are trying to make an example of us.

Unless men are taught to embrace deep community roots and respect to the elders it’s probably difficult for them to understand any of that.

I believe involved nurturing fathers/male mentors play a huge role in that.

Off topic but I’m realizing how easy it is for men to become wealthy and move socioeconomically off talent but women are overlooked. I’m like two degrees separated from these men. Not unique talents exactly, and more than luck because it’s frequent. The sisters/mothers are often left behind.

I realize also planning is evolving and public participation has become sophisticated and planners today are more diverse and racism is less tolerated so hopefully that equates to financial investment.
