Today I turned my old chicken coop into a shed for the winter. I also put in a gravel walkway on one side of my deck – a 6', fire-hardened space. Glad to finished before the rain starts. My back is killing me from moving gravel for most of the day. I'll work on the other side after the storm passes.

This memorandum establishes the standards for creation, implementation, manning, training, and equipping of a National Guard Quick Reaction Force (NGQRF) in support of Secretary of War direction pursuant to reference (a) and (b). 2. Requirement. National Guard Bureau (NGB) will train, equip, and make NGQRFs operational NLT 1 January 2026. NGQRFs are an additional mission set of the CBRN Assistance Support Element (CASE) portion of the Homeland Response Force (HRF) (200 personnel) trained in civil disturbance operations and prepared to deploy with 25% of the force in 8 hours, 50% of the force responding in 12 hours, and 100% of the requirement in 24 hours. 3. Personnel and Equipment. NGB will field each CASE State with 100 sets of crowd control equipment to be used to support this requirement. NGB will authorize each CASE two (2) full-time equivalent (FTE) (ADOS) personnel to manage this mission set from a training, equipping, and response perspective. It is also the starkest example yet of potential ethical conflicts created by installing the president's former lawyers atop the Justice Department. Mr. Trump submitted complaints through an administrative claim process that often is the precursor to lawsuits. The first claim, lodged in late 2023, seeks damages for a number of purported violations of his rights, including the F.B.I. and special counsel investigation into Russian election tampering and possible connections to the 2016 Trump campaign, according to people familiar with the matter. They spoke on the condition of anonymity because the claim has not been made public.
